We're doing a post jam update!

We’re releasing a post-jam version!

I’d like to start by saying a massive thank you to everyone who has tried our game and left us valuable feedback, you’ve encouraged us to continue with this project after the jam is over and as such we will be releasing an update once the rating period is over.

Below I’ll outline some of the changes we have already made as well as give a preview of what we plan to add.

First and foremost you told us that the pace was a little slow.

So we’ve added the option to sprint (whilst holding shift), which will be limited by a regenerating stamina bar.

You told us that it was sometimes difficult to work out where you need to go.

We’ve updated the map to both highlight where you are and where your current objective is.

To make things even clearer, we’ve also added a visual objective indicator in the game as well.

We’ve also been working on improving the visibility of the important aspects of the UI, this is not a finished overhaul and is subject to change, but a rough idea of the direction we’re going can be seen here.

On the topic of loops, there were a few comments that it would be preferable to be able to skip parts of the dialog for things you have already done and we’re hard at work implementing that with the current story.

We’ve also been working on making the loops more visual than a simple fade to darkness as some players felt it was more of a game-over than a loop.

This is still very much a work in progress but heres a sneak peek : https://i.imgur.com/rVmAARh.mp4  (External Link as I can't get the gif to upload)

The combat system is another feature that we received a lot of feedback on, it was very much a rushed implementation as is the case with jams, but we’ve heard your feedback and are hard at work on improving the system.

So far we have begun to overhaul the UI as well as removed the annoying delay between moves and waiting for the next button to appear.  We’ve also told androids that they are strong enough to take you on alone, so in the rare event where more than one android wants to have a fight, the other will return to its previous posting.

We’ve also done many bug fixes and optimizations for the game and we’ll release a more detailed change log when we are releasing the update. In the meantime if you have anymore feedback on the current jam version of the game or on these upcoming updates, then feel free to leave us some feedback.

That’s all for this dev log, to those of you who have played our game and provided feedback throughout the past week I want to say a massive thank you, your feedback has been invaluable.
